The standardization program is drawn up by INNORPI, as a fulfillment of the overall directives of the ministry of industry. In so doing, the institute uses the economic information made available to it, as well as opinions, suggestions and applications submitted by public, professional and inter-professional bodies or by any other qualified body.
INNORPI publishes every year the standardization program in its official bulletin , and updates it at least once every six months.
This program gives useful information on the first draft standards underway.
The drafting of the standardization program meets the requirements of the World Trade Organization (WTO) concerning standards elaboration (appendix 3 of the agreement relating to technical barriers to trade), in particular those concerning following indications :
The title.
The source reference, if it exists.
The indication of ISO stage for standards elaboration.
The international classification of standards (ICS) .
The indication of ISO stage for standards elaboration
To ensure a systematic follow-up of the elaboration and the life course of a standard, we use a stage indication with four figures representing the main stages / sub-stages. The stage indications mentioned in the standardization program are the current ones of each standard.
The International Organization for Standardization , ISO, has adopted an harmonious system of stage indications for the elaboration of standards. It is a figure code specifying the progress report of the elaboration of the considered standard. The elaboration of a standard goes, then, at least through the following stages:

| Stage 10 |

International Classification of Standards
The International Classification of Standards is a hierarchic classification with three levels. Level 1 covers 40 standardization fields such as: road vehicles, agriculture, and metallurgy. Each field is identified by 2 figures, example: 43 road vehicles.
The fields are subdivided into 391 groups (level 2). The code of a group is made up of the field code followed by a dot then a number of 3 figures, such as : 43.040 automotive systems .
134 groups out of the 391 groups are also subdivided into 895 subgroups (level 3). A subgroup code is made up of the group's code followed by a dot then a number of two figures, such as: 43.040.020 lighting, signs and warning devices.
ICS – The ICS ( International Classification of Standards) title of a group or subgroup in which a standard is classified. If a standard exists in many groups and/or subgroups, all their titles shall be mentioned separated by a semicolon.
